Betty Hirst
Betty Hirst, owner and trainer at Double Eagle Stables, is the Spokane area's most experienced trainer. Betty graduated from WSU with a bachelors degree in Animal Science with an emphasis on equine studies. She has since acquired over 37 years experience training and riding at the Grand Prix level, and has ridden regularly with George Morris, coach of the USEF Show Jumping Team.
Betty has many years attendance at the US Dressage Federation Instructor Workshops, and has been asked to serve on the US Equestrian Federation Zone 9 Board. She has achieved her USHJA Trainer Certification, a new rigorous standard for highly qualified trainers. She is also first aid and CPR certified.
