Double Eagle Stables
Double Eagle Stables is Spokane's premier equestrian center. Run by USHJA certified trainer Betty Hirst, with over 37 years of teaching and training experince, Double Eagle Stables offers lessons for all riders, from beginners to advanced, Western or English, hunters, jumpers, equitation, and dressage. We also offer affordable, high-quality boarding, as well as horse training services. Our facilities are located just north of Spokane off Highway 395.

10-2-2011 - Jeff Campf is coming to Double Eagle Stables to give a clinic on October 22nd and 23rd. The cost will be $300 and haul-ins are welcome, but stabling will be available for an additional fee. Jeff has been a lifelong horseman and is a regular competitor in the Grand Prix ring who enjoys teaching students of all levels. He is a past winner of the Northwest Professional World Champion Hunter Rider title. Jeff has numerous Grand Prix victories, jumped two clean rounds at the 2004 Olympic Trials, and has won the OHJA Open Jumper Champion title ten times.
8-22-2011 - Congratulations on your new horses go out to Jordan Workman, Holly Becker, and Riley Thompson. Jordan purchased Thoroughbred mare Enya for Hunters, Holly bought Dutch Warmblood gelding Top Gun (Goose) for Hunters and Equitation, and Riley bought Appaloosa gelding Boy Scout.
8-22-2011 - We had a great show season this year. Some highlights include Ashley Powel winning the $1,000 Child/Adult Amateur Jumper Classic at the British Columbia Open at Thunderbird and Reserve Champion in th 1.10m Jumpers at the Evergreen Classic on Unique. Gina Osterback also took Reserve Champion in her division at the Pacific Northwest Hunter & Jumper Show.
8-22-2011 - GU Classes will be starting this Fall Semester. Interested students can call for more information about this opportunity to earn PE credits for riders of all levels (beginner to advanced).
7-10-2011 - NEW week of Children's Horsemanship Day Classes has been added from August 22nd to August 26th for $185. Call us at (509) 466-8895 as soon as possible to reserve your spot.

4-17-2011 - Dutch mare by Akrobaat, Unique has moved to Snohomish, Washington. Ashley Powel is showing her in Jumpers and riding with Denise Youell at Farpoint Farm. Good luck at all the shows.
4-17-2011 - We are really excited about our 2011 show season. So far we are planning to attend the Pacific Northwest Hunter & Jumper Show in Monroe, Washington, the Early Summer Classic in Wilsonville, Oregon, and the Evergreen Classic in Carnation, Washington. We will also be attending local schooling shows thoughout the season.
Ashley Powel will be riding Zorhann, Betty's Dutch Warmblood gelding, in his showing debut as an Equitation horse. Cassie Camuti will be showing her Cleveland Bay/Thoroughbred cross gelding TBF Prince Charming in Jumpers in their first year of showing together. Katie Hough also has a young new horse, Durenzo. She will be showing baby green Hunters and Equitation. Jordan Workman will be showing her Thoroughbred Hunter, Bristol Bay, in Children's Hunters and Equitation. Tess Wilkensen will be doing Equitation and Jumpers with her Thoroughbred gelding Sangrio. Gina Osterback will be showing the Hanoverian mare Gitaneo in Jumpers and Equitation.

4-2-2011 - Children's Horsemanship Day Classes are returning for 2011. These lessons make a great first or continuing exposure to horses and horsemanship for children. Sessions will run June 27th-July 1st, and July 5th-July 8th, with another session from June 20th-June 24th available depending on interest. Sign up early as spots are available on a first come, first served basis.
